Description

 |
The third
and fourth profiles in the Wall of Peace Lecture Series
features the life and teachings of Mahavir and
Guru Nanak.
Not as
famous as the Buddha or Gandhi, these historic figures
nevertheless have an appealing power that transcends their
time and place in history. As these men have moved from the
realm of history to that of legend in India, we will
rediscover the historic aspects of their lives and the
timeless aspects of their teachings.

Wall of Peace
Inaugurated by Deepak Chopra in May 2007, the Wall of Peace
installation at the Canadian Museum of Hindu Civilization is the
first of its kind in North America. It features prominent
individuals and symbols from a range of cultures and religions.
These busts form the prominent display against the backdrop of a
wall depicting warfare from Alexander the Great to the Nuclear
Explosion.
